Very nice angle on the blossom and super focus on this little guy, Yves. Beautiful composition and tones too.

Terrific shot Yves. The flower and bug float beautifully above the background. Love the vivid colours.

Thanks Debra. I was at the minimum distance for the 800mm autofocus to operate. So proud the camera could sharp focus the insect as good as a macro lens would do. When I say that the DOF is very short at close range here is a good exemple. The flower is about 4 cm wide and the edge of the flower is already out of focus.

Thank you Jane.

Description
The flower is the ever beautyful black knapweed. Not sure if the insect is a kind of fly or a kind of bee but it's my first encounter with that very interesting one.
